Something like this would be really awesome. They have listened to Chris before about the chopper agility problem so I hope they take this idea into consideration.

Yeah I mean I like it but I don't think it will solve the fundamental problem of people being super tunnel visioned and wanting immediate action. You can give someone an order that they'll get points for but if they see a red dorito off in the distance or something they want to kill, that will take priority regardless of whether or not going after that thing helps the team or not.

The tunnel vision thing really is the bigger issue. People can't see the forest for the trees and I'm not sure how to solve that problem. Personally, and I'm sure a lot of people aren't fans of this but personally the most effective thing I've found is to literally scream at people. You can ask nicely or you can ask angrily, but asking someone directly to do or not do something is your best bet. Calling out people by name in particular can help. But now in this video I'm finding out that most people disable their chat boxes? So people can't even read my insane rambling? That is disappointing but I will not be deterred.

Anyhow, a little exclamation mark with yet another thing to do probably won't entirely solve the problem of not playing the objectives but good idea anyway.

Visuvius, you da real mvp. Your yelling is like music to the ears of teamplayers.

Calling out by name works wonders. That's actually what made me stay at TPG when I stumbled across the bf2 server one night back in like '08. I was lone wolfing in a squad and Xav was commander. He gave me a direct order and called my by name. First time I'd ever had someone communicate with me in a battlefield game. After that, I dug out my microphone and was hooked

There's a little thing in Planetside called proximity chat where you can talk to anyone in a small radius, there you really can scream at them.

I wish that game was better... Looks lustfully at H1Z1....

Visuvius is right though, the players now are more interested in gun combos and kill streaks than actually holding a flag. I'm amazed at the amount of times I'll hold a flag and my team will rush off to fight, no qualms about leaving the 2 flags beside us open and boom. No more flags and now suddenly the flag I had my squad sit on now has half the Fucking team spawning in.

Like the angry NoM guy said... Tell your squad mates what to do. Simple. Easy.

See you all soon apparently my Internet has been fixed.

It's a good game and I enjoyed playing it but there just wasn't enough TPG that played it and then BF4 happened.

I think it should be accompanied by a situation-specific instructional audio recording of you screaming orders at people. As you fulfill more orders, the screaming slowly subsides from future orders; however, if you miss too many, the intensity goes up to 11.
