BF taking a longer dev cycle

Seems they want to spend more time on their next game which is a decision I can get behind. Personally I think maybe they should just set the franchise aside for a while and try to innovate with a new one or others. I liked BF1 but I still felt like it wasn't the game I wanted from a BF title.

When I heard this I switched over to other games, I'll play more bf4 again, bf1 just isn't what I like in a battlefield game, now I play just to hang out with mates.

Doesn't matter how long they spend developing a game when they continue to use failed platforms.

    Hi Gentlemen,

I believe that EA was very shrewd here trying to get everyone to pay upfront for further content. The Star wars game struggles from what I can see.

BF 1 is a good concept but feels lacking. You rank up I feel to quickly and I would say this is to pacify the children. They have made it hard to find your friends in game. And very hard for those that rent a server to populate it.

WW1 was known for it's vast artillery barrages and for the life of me I do not understand why they never utilised gas attacks and arty with a better command option. There are not enough vehicles in my opinion and after a few weeks things feel stale and frustrating. I am getting fed up with not joining a server with all my pals on it.

As I have always stated EA are greedy bastards and will always drive a game to a quick buck end. They claimed to put together a gaming experience that rewards team play and yet make it so hard to play together.

I am looking hard at other options (Battalion 1944 and Rising storm 2 Vietnam) and may well drop BF out all together.

Just come back to a better game? I'll happily try and prime up the bf4 server rather than playing elsewhere.

Played BF 4 tonight. I enjoyed myself and to be honest Battlefield is losing it for me. I have really tried to enjoy BF 1. but it is just not there.

I have paid for the expansions, so feel committed for when they come out. I have learnt a hard lesson here. They were very wise indeed getting money up front. That will not happen again. Bf 5 or whatever is down the road, I will not be buying just on this experience.

The whole deal is getting worse and I play to play with my friends. I have not seen many of them the last week or two. One night maybe there was 6 of us on, but seeing no one play anymore gives me little reason to play a mediocre game.

We shall see. But as far as dice and EA are concerned they have given me good reason of late to find alternatives.

Wish you all the best gentlemen.

I actually want to get BF1, but am just having trouble pulling the trigger on it because I always think "I'm not hearing a bunch of wonderful things from the peeps on TPG... so how good can it actually be??"

I've been hoping to find alternatives to BF as well. Hasn't been the same since BF2 for me.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

Boomus lies. We've been on Bf4 a few nights this week and he's a no show. Just Bloodthirst and a few others getting it going...
