Help with IT career
Hey all. I'm currently a college student majoring in IT, but I want to end up in the web applications programming end of the field. The only problem is, so far, the classes that I've taken haven't touched on the topic, and I have to admit, my skills with the Web are rather limited. I was wondering if anybody out there knew of any places I could look for information on programming for the Web? I'm reading a few books, but they're rather limited in scope. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well you want to learn HTML coding, right?
I just googled something, http://www.html.net/tutorials/html/introduction.asp
Try that. What kind of skill level are you at in IT? Do you need more advanced tutorials, or are you a beginner?
Also, when you say Web Applications, do you suggest Java and Flash programming?[align=\'center\']

I'd suggest Javascript over DHTML.

Do more things. I think it has a harder learning curve though. I don't know much about it, perhaps another knowledged member can provide better insight.
