If it's too hot to stop and shoot folks I usually just try to hit the shields and let a mine hit me and repair later. I would say this works about 35% of the time unless you get smacked with multiple mines and then your toast. But at least you only gave up your own life. Leaving your armor can only cause more deaths for your team.

Shields don't work against mines, or against anyone inside the shield. The reason is that the shield blocks anything from getting in, but mines just go right through and once they get to you, the shield does jack shit.

I don't know what your talking about, but just in case,

He means that if there are Engineers and Rollers, he'll put up his shield, take the Anti-Armor hit (0 Damage), and hit the roller while getting away from infantry and vehicles. Then Repair and attack from a distance.
