Basic knife and pistol

According to my stats page, I need 7 kills with a knife and 5 kills with a pistol to recieve my basic badges for those weapons. I have surpassed those numbers but have never been awarded the badges. I need them to level up to my next rank. Anyone else have this problem?

you need all 5/7 of them in-a-round (IAR)

ie, you need 7 knife/5 pistol kills in one round to get those awards :P

and if you have done that, then theres the possibility of that whole stats not updating fiasco

There not that hard....on the right map & on the right side. I.E. Karkand - Mec - forward of first flag standing behind pallets & kniving everything that passes by. Or you can try a pistol/knife prefered server. At least that's the way I finnaly got mine...in Karkand. I just got my gold knife badge before the stat screwup. Glad thats over!

I dont know what it is Dang, i just NEVER seem to be in th right place at the right time to make a signifigant amount of knife kills. I think ive maxed out at 4 IAR.

That happens. It took me a while before I got the basic. I think I had some 67 kills before I got the basic and then I got the Veteran a few seconds later. But I found Karkand & Mashtuur to be the best maps for trying to get your knife badge without stat padding. You'll get there. Just take persistance. I'm still wondering how I'm gonna get 18 pistol kills....I hate little guns!

Actually its easier for me to knife people on Sharqi. This is just my Opinion though because its easier to get behind the flow of battle. As for Karkand the forces spread out somewhat more and the grenade spam makes me angry. Oh Forgot to mention Mashtaur, I have no complaints about that place.

Im guilty of that, the grenade spamming. However, im trying to change my ways. Like you, when i fall victim to grenade spamming it pisses me off. I'll use A grenade or two to defend a flag, but my spawning support so i can chuck as many nades as bullets from an AK mag days are over. Especially on that map (Sharqi) and Jalalalalalalabaaaad....(except maybe when the back wall at the mosque is getting pounded!
