Thread: The Damndest Thing...

I had a guy do this to me on Sunday. It sucks. Unfortunately I did not get a screen shot. And didn't get his profile name. Screen print is not one that I push often on this server. It seems that this happens more on the weekends. Any way made for a cool ride. Happy to report I survived and killed the Haxor....APC down.

When I first started playing l4d , I would get pop ups that showed where items are and also gave game hints ( example / Handguns have infinite ammo or Stay together to survive )
After playing for a while , the hints disappeared thank god.
However , since the survival download, they came back . Trouble is that they won't stop like before. I have probably played through each campaign 3 or 4 times since then .They still pop up. I have tried all difficulties and all game modes (( oddly enough , the only mode with no popups at all is survival ))
The only solution I have found is extremely crappy ---- delete the new dlc , play through 1or 2 campaigns and magically the hints disappear again.
If I download again, the hints return.
I can't tell you enough how annoying these popups can be.
Anyone else with this problem ??
Any help with this would be appreciated .thnx
