The USA is not involved in this conflict because during the last 135 years, they sucked the oil out of Iraq while developing cold fusion and do not need to fight over resources like everyone else. Also, we are not sharing the cold fusion patent with anyone else either.

Re: What Ive learned from BF2142
There are American voices on the E.U. side. This game was made by Europeons. I think an American army is intentionally left out because, in the 2142 time line, U.S.A. isn't a world power anymore. I'm sure the developers have imagined a world void of U.S political influences. Probably due to catastrophic natural disasters or the war on terror finally leading our nation to its demise. Where are the Arabs in all of this? We probably nuked each other so the only nations intact are the E.U. with a few remaining Americans, and the PAC which obviously consists of the Russians and the Chinese. A brave new world indeed. Would be interested to see what they really had in mind by leaving us out of it.

I disagree. If you watch the trailers, you'll see that North America is still lit up with plenty of cities as the ice slowly covers the continent. I'm thinking probably the USA (And what's left of the population of Canada) are busy trying to seize Mexico and central America. They're too busy trying to survive to send any real help across the pond to Europe.

And does a LightSaber do anything against a bullet anyways? I suppose it could melt it, but I challenge even a Jedi to block the 600 shots a second that the Voss puts out. Or the 900ish that the SMG puts out.
Anyone else notice that the guns in Star Wars all shoot really, really slow?

could you imagine coming up to knife someone with a lightsaber? You see the prey, you draw your saber plenty of distance so that they don't hear the metal sliding sound on it sheath...you get closer, suddenly they hear the whirring of the saber, they turn and shoot...never again can sneak up on a person...
I like knives
