    What Ive learned from BF2142

So I was thinking about all the things Battlefield 2142 has taught me about the future. So I think I will list some.

    In 2142...

-I STILL wont have a flying car
-Knives will still be steel and not light sabers
-All the forklifts will still be broken down piles of garbage that dont run.
-Guns will still fire lead bullets and not some super awsome new kind of ammo
-And the world will still be fighting wars over oil...

Guess not much will change in the next 140 years. Except that so far the U.S. has stayed out of this conflict.

ok...now remember though, this is 135 years in the future...chances are you DID have a flying car and a gun that fired something else...the problem is the US still won't share the goodies, since they are not here...neither are the toys.

forklifts will still run like shit...and I wonder how much gas the goliath actually takes to run?

Wait, this war isn't over Oil... It's over getting as far away from the freezing north as you can.

    Global Warming?

That would explain why there aren't so many Walkers.

Uranium. Coal. Aluminum. Tin. Iron. Shiny new elements to fuel the titans. Oil is not the only subterranean resource.

Re: What Ive learned from BF2142

I dunno, I'm thinking the vehicles probably run on hydrogen (which would explain the huge explosions even a jeep is capable of producing when the fuel cells rupture).

However, hydrocarbons can also be used to create food. That would explain fighting over oil. Not as fuel, but as a food source. Since areas like Ukraine and the US midwest are now under ice, they can no longer feed the world. Loss of that much arable land would force governments to look to alternate methods of feeding their starving populations.
