Thread: Armor/air/transport only squads - what is your take on them?

I am a fan of having armor only squads within PR maps when allowed, What I especially enjoy is a squad that is comprised of blackhawks that shuttles squads/people around, and it works best when a commander has a mic and helps make it much easier.

Though its amazing even within these squads, i can find it frustrating when another squad member well into a map, takes it upon himself to spawn as a pilot and take a blackhawk and even when he's invited to a transport only squad, they won't join.

That is what is great about PR there is so much flexibility and there can be air only squads and armor only squads and when used right can be an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.

I am starting to get the PR bug back....as much as I want my distinguished service medal and to get my last unlocks, i am will to forfeit that because PR is Awesome.

I completely agree. I cant stand it when someone joins one of my squads and doesnt spawn on the squad leader and just feels like doing his own thing.

I love PR. I havent played vanilla in a few months now as it just seems to fast and easy compared to PR. And great thing about PR is that is always evolving. Devs are great about fixing bugs, changing/adding features, and adding maps. I do though definitely miss playing with other TTP regulars like TriggerHappy or Leafsager, but its been great catching you (tgross), andrew, bird, and bravo on lately too.

PR is definitely needing another popular server in the US other than TacticalGamer (which i dont like) and would be great if TTP could fill that void. I would really like to see more TTP regulars playing PR.

Yes, it has been many months since i have played consistently bf2. I played for an hour i think a couple months ago, but it just doesnt seem as much fun after getting the hang of PR. I do miss the bombers and jets though.

"Project Reality" teaches you far more advanced techniques and really focuses on PURE SQUAD PLAY...... It is all about the Team and Squads in PR.

can anyone kindly provide their Pak01_dir file? I've just re-formated my PC and the Pak01_dir that I moddified before the reformat got corrupted.. can anyone provide me with a new one?

(if, of course that's legal.. because if it isn't.. I won't mind)

Go to l4dmods.com and find "japers mod tutorial". you obviously dont need it, but the download includes an unmodded pak01_dir file.
