Yet another mike problem.
Hey folks,
I'm hoping somebody here knows something... about my problem =)
I use a Sennheiser headset/mike combo, OS is Win7 64 bit.
This is my second install of Win7, and I didn't have trouble under the first one (can't remember which build I used).
My microphone works just fine in Quake Wars, and TF2. It also works in the lobby of L4D. But it will not work in game, I don't even have the 'voice bubble' when I use my push-to-talk button.
I've have tried the couple of solutions in this thread - but neither worked for me.
I have also tried voice activation - didn't work. The microphone test in the game settings also works just fine.
That's about all the info I can think of... help?

First try checking the button for push to talk to make sure it is is c, my friend had that problem(uses windows 7 64 also), somehow during the installation it was set to f22(he has a gaming keyboard with so many f keys its unbelievable which also might be the reason), and just reset the key to c, though you can use whatever key you want, but try reinstalling the game, then if it still doesn't work, try running the game in compatibility mode.
Hope this helps-

I would try deleting that device from your Device Manager, and reinstalling it.
