    BF2 install error

    Ok BF2 guru's help me out here.



    I have never had this problem before on the old dell. I am installing this on the new pc and all the drivers etc are updated.

    The MD5 error indicates that the file is corrupt. Generally that is due to a) a buggered disk, b) a buggered disk drive, or c) an incompatibility between the disk and the drive. As an example of c), I have a DVD/RW drive that can't read some CDs. In those situations I use an antique USB CD drive - it's slow, but it works every time.

    have you tried a full re-install of the game, i have to re-intall it twice to play it.

    Well another option is to download the game from the net and then use ur CD-Key to activate it. It may work that way.

    As a simple fix take a look at the CD and make sure there is no goop on it.

    OH yea I am back in the game.
    Got a cd repair/cleaner and fixed it right up.
    The patch is still downloading but yes oh yes I will be back on.

    Another issue may be that ef'ing WOW icon on your desktop. I heard that causes havoc on any system
