Personally, I say go wide with the unlocks. Take the grenades, then branch out. We get field upgrades around here so fast there is never a reason to max out a branch and limiting yourself.
My biggest mantra here is information is power. The more you can 'know' on the battlefield, the stronger your team is.
Whichever path gets you to the netbat helmet for your preferred class(-es) do that first. Then get to the upgraded point makers (advanced med hubs, advanced support hub, advanced reair kit) since they do their jobs faster and you can be sitting inside of a vehicle and healing/resupplying/repairing people and vehicles next to your own vehicle.
Once you have those, then immediately go for sonars.
Also, look at the requirements for the Northern Strike awards and go after them with a vengence. Northern Strike awards don't generate points that can be used for promotions. Even better, they give unlocks. Unlocks... mmmmmm.... good.

Hey there people.
I am looking for people who don't take this game seriously, but more or less just want to have a good and fun time playing the game.
I don't care what mode or difficulty, I don't care if you have mics or not, but
send a friend request to my Gamertag (Snuggle Snuff) and I will be on hopefully soon ( I check Xbox.com a lot)
I won't be on a whole lot now because I moved my Xbox into my room where I do not have access to internet, but this Tuesday I will be on, probably playing Rock Band, so thanks for reading and replying (and if you send me a request, thank you as well)120 hours in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, God.. I need rehab.:cc:
