True, the intro to "Slanderous" is probably the best example of that, the intro is a bitch to play.

I dunno about MGMT: I really liked their singles, particularly Electric Feel, but I felt the rest of the tracks on their album weren't as catchy... I dunno maybe I need to give it a closer listen: I've only had it on a couple of times.
Some of my favorite MGMT songs:
    Weekend Wars
    Time to Pretend
    The Youth
    Electric Feel, as you stated.
    Of Moons, Birds & Monsters
    Kids

OK since this thread is alive again i'll ad me some stuff to the list:

Clutch are an excellent band, their album Robot Hive/Exodus is amazing.
Andy Mckee is probably the best acoustic guitarist I have ever seen, check out his stuff on youtube, the song Drifting in particular.

On a heavier note Nile or Nechrophagist are brutally good, soloes are phenomenal, also the guitarist of Nile Karl Sanders, does fantastic music that makes you long for egypt, check them out!!
    Kagato: "You got this Feesh?"
The Feesh: "I am so fucked..."
