Yeah It is just annoying, I have also played sports, and don't feel the need to let everyone know that I am only playing the game becuase " it amuses me to watch all the nerds fight" ... I mean come on, no one playing the game, except maybe the very people we are ranting about, will think any less of you for the fact that you are playing the game. So long as you aren't an ass hat like the two kids I ran into. Idk, it annoys the hell out of me, but in the end all i can really do is laugh about it becuase they are talking shit over the internet to make themselves feel better about their own pathetic lives.

Honestly, I really do beleive that only about 20-30% of gamers actually fit the "nerd" stereotype, and even less fit the hardcore nerd stereotype.

I think video games is such a common thing now a days its hard to have a 'true' nerd from just playing games, so I agree with DT.
