As in Vanilla it is key that your squadleaders know you overall plan and keep them updated. Voice comm is vital. If a SL knows you are there and that support on their flank or rear is available they may preform more comfortably.
Also the building of base defenses, I like Charlie squad as an engineer squad. I like to arrange it so there are two or more engineers with two or so rifle/medic types. This squad provided a defense of our rear points, or our defensive points. Which elevates the need to have your attack squads need to pull back. Charlie squad is not a glorious job but it is a vital one that helps the team.
I have found that I am normally able to get 2 full squads and 2 partial squads of like 3 or 4 members. So I have one of the partial squads be my "charlie" squad and my other partial squad as a semi reserve/center.
My full squads are those that I send on the attack, they swipe in from the sides as such as a pincer, if it is only one CP. If there are two CPs I assign each squad an attack point with the partial squad my "reserve" to the center which will provide any needed cover fire or back up to the attacking squads.
Hopefully this is of assistance to you and will not foil my future attempts at commanding.

Re: COmmander position in PR....What a Pain in the ASS!...
THanx JB, but what i need to know is how to function as a commander. I know how to do it in BF games but not in PR.
DO i get in the middle of the fight or stay back.. AM i supposed to be up on the line droping Structures and assets or build the CP back in my main base?
AA guns, Sand Bags, Fortifications and bunkers?.. WHere, why?
I mean i understnad what aa guns and sand bags do but.. Strategy wise.. When would i set them down , why , for whom and other tid bits of knowledge.
Any information to help out understanding how the role of a commander in PR is so much more different than in the RUn of the mill BF games, Thats what im looking for.

Warchild,
I have not done much commanding in PR and therefore by no means am an expert. But here are some links which I have used to figure out what was going on when I'm in the Command Chair.
General list of Command assets and functions:

Commander Best Practices:

In particular look at post #9 here:

I hope this is helpful.

I play a mid field position, I stay close enough to the front that squads can spawn off of my supply truck and not worry about losing a Rally point.
Sandbags and Razor wire as you advance so if it comes down to holding a position right and tight you can fall back to the sandbags.
Make bunkers at CPs and firebases along major travel routes or where most convenient for your squads. The most important part of PR commander assets imo is to keep your squads from having to hike from the boondocks to the front. a successful commander has prepared Defensive positions with spawn locales.
Having the bunkers or firebases near CPs helps if the squad defending it needs reinforcement it is easy to get it there.
If you need more detail on where to put sandbags, well, where the enemy will be firing from. Razorwire can be placed around a point in order to focus the enemy to the point where your troops can destroy them.
Bunkers go well in side corners not on the main part of the CP because if the bunker is slightly hidden it will last longer and can spawn more troops. Firebases are great up in a hill in a sort of dell, where it is just not visible.
See you all tonight!!
edit--as i read this over post-post, it seems a little harsh. I do not mean any disrespect by it btw so please don't get bothered by anything i mean to be helpful.
