Squad mate excuted for the good of the team, squad, and squad mate

So...I was doing my usual squad leading last night. Had charvel, fragraptor, some pretty major hitters in my squad. Under the command of Mury. Defending cerbere command center as out las remaining spawn against Inja and the onslaught.

We're boxed in, but that's ok, because we have the wall.

I ordered my squad to play solely on the roof of the command center. Snipers, rocketeers, support and medics....keep eachother stocked and on their feet...weather the artillery an EMP barrages.

I look down....see a few stragglers not climbing the ladders to the roof. USMC Mike something....ride his ass...he starts climbing.

See another....a hero....a badass in teh field....Charvel...fighting the good fight hand to hand on the road. I'm covering him, while ordering him to get back and climb. He keeps fighting...I keep covering....still he remains on the east road, holding his own, barely.

I order again...and again....he doesn't come.

So......I shot him to death.

Mutiny in the field must be dealt with. So I killed a member of my own squad. Just as I would execute the terrorist bomb carrier in CSS, if he was camping away from teh bombsite or refused to plant.

Charvel wasn't happy. However, he spawned on the roof, and proceeded to pick up an addiiton 30+ kills. I believe he managed 77 points, 55 kills, with less than 7 or so deaths. All rockets spamming down to the SW corner of Cerbere command.....no mercy. Killing 2-3 at a time with my nades spamming down as well. Resupplied.

he got a gold medal. I got a bronze. without him, we would have likely lost the SW corner, and been overrun.

We lost the match by 13 or so tickets, however we made up a 50 point deficit in the last 100 points of the game. We might have lost the war, but we beat the shit out of the attackers something awful.

sorry for killing you, charvel....but...as you can see....getting up there was the reason our team came back, the reason you got your gold, and the reason we play as a team. I killed you....to help you. Because I love you.

Ok, i reread that last paragraph and couldnt help hear it in my head as GLaDOS speaking it.

Me: ...I told you not to stand there.

Repeat as necessary, which was another 4 times before the reason for the orders sunk in enough to apparently make them acceptable orders.

I watched that inja, nearly 2 full squads made damn good progress up that west side, then I dropped an orbital on your heads

it was nuts.....we got lucky....and without charvel's miracle stick, we wouldn't have held that line, or bled you guys do fast.

.....and by miracle sticky, I mean rocket launcher, of course.

I turned it into a running gag when my squad kept asking where Charvel was.

Squad: Where is that #$%@!er Charvel, I wanna kill him!
Me: Just look for all the bodies.

Unless I'm mistaken, that's a ban, regardless of your intents... Maybe I'm missing something here, and I hope I am, but we aren't Commissars. An intentional TK is an intentional TK, regardless of intent.
