It works like this -
My issue is in the first step, of connecting the laptop and the xbox through "wired" as the computer isn't recognizing Wired Lan connection with the internet, making bridging it impossible. So..I'ma try to use Iggy's link, maybe I can get ICS set up her ancient laptop..
By the way guys - thank you everyone for the help, I really appreciate it.

Yeah, doesn't look like I'm going to get this to work. Her laptop just may be too effed up to get this to work. For some reason I don't have an option to set up ICS on my internet connection and the xbox's lan connection isn't getting recognized by the computer. I have a feeling it may have to do something with one of her drivers, the "Ethernet Controller" drive is uninstalled and isn't able to download a new one when I search for it.
Oh well, guess I'll just have to live with it for a week or two. The horror. :horror02:

You could just go into your device manager and delete the ethernet controller, then let it reinstall itself. I would see if you can find the correct drivers for it first though. You should be able to find the driver on the manufacturers web site.
Or, is you have the CD that came with the laptop, that would help.*********************************

Not sure it matters with the 360 but, are you using a crossover cable?
ICS has always been kinda hit and miss for me. I've had it fail for no reason more times then I can count. It is probably the worse way to share an internet connection imho.
BTW do you have access to another wireless router? If so you could share the connection that way (Wireless router -> wireless router -> xbox 360), depending on the router you might have to flash it with some custom firmware though.
I wish you luck.
