    Is it just me or is Highway Tampa a server killer, ether there is a requirement that 20 must leave to play the map or people really hate that map. The only good thing that map is good for is to unstack teams. Is there a way to get it out of rotation? Just wondering.

    I hate to admit it...but I like Highway Tampa.



    I know. Its the single most hated thing in the Bf2 community (right next to racist, Elton John, and TheJeep1's squad when he is on the other team ), but for me it is reminiscent of the great tank battles that BF1942 featured. I loved those maps in this games predecessor; they were what I looked forward to in every map rotation.

    But, since no one else likes it, I agree with Swift. Now, I am sure this has been brought up planty of times before, but like Swift said, its a great way to stack the teams really quick. So I propose that the admins initiate a poll; let the community decide how to handle this issue.

    One question, two answers: Should we eliminate Highway Tampa from the TTP server map rotation? Yes or No.

    Let the poll stay up for, say, two weeks (although I am sure that an answer will be blatantly obvious well before the deadline. I mean, shit, its pretty obvious now! lol

    I vote keeping it.

    I dislike several maps. I deal with it, or I disconnect so others (non reservists) can play. I mean, hell, it's one map out of 20. It comes around what, every 3 hours or so?

    It may be one map, but the server always seems to get screwy for the next several rounds, because, like you said, you disconnect. This has on more than one occasion caused the teams to get stacked, and result is gameplay that is not fun for one side of the server (in fact, I'd say it happens 3 out of 5 times).

    Then again my numbers could be off, because I am not in the game 24/7. I'm only there 22/6 .

    I am not a fan of it. It's the only map on Friday night you can see less than 50 in the server. It seems every night I get on right when it's switching to it. The only great thing about it is the anticipation of all the good maps after it.

    The three I hate the most Tampa, FuShe and Stalemate. Two are together so it makes it easy to skip.

    I like the Tampa map. It's a nice change of pace, plus there is tons of armor. :4

    I do hate getting stranded in the middle of nowhere without a ride, but it usually doesn't take that long before someone picks me up or someone kills me.

    The numbers have been much better for Tampa as of late. It may drop off initially, but I think most of those are still people that have not d/l'd the correct version yet. I usually get in the game quick and you don't see people leaving just because they don't like the map. They are gone because they didn't load up.

    I seriously doubt that TTP is going to drop the map since we are a full rotation server. I don't think we should. There are maps that I don't particularly like, but hey I get in there and slug it out with the rest of ya.

    I can understand the full rotation thing. I forget that there are non-regulars that still don't have the map.

    If I am looking to join on the weekend I might wait and skip it. Any other time I will just stick it out.

    Is there a way of shrinking the map? It would make the combat between armor much more interesting.

    Keep it,

    for the simple reason its a new map and no strategys have been made concrete over it yet. Yes its been around on beta for a while but ...its new for TTP!.
