Argh! Worst Command EVER!
rant_on/ I played 2 rounds of Minsk and here's what happened. I spent those two rounds as commander and I sure as hell didn't have a lot of time to command. Can you guess what I was so busy doing? Well I was asking for admins to ban about a hand full of non team players from the server. In just two rounds of commanding I have asked for more kicks since the day I joined ttp to this point. I am so frustrated right now about this I find no fun in having to threaten my squad leaders to do there job. Then on top of that I spent even more time texting names for the admin to kick for non team play, and just to be fair I even talked orders and sent over game and chat to these squad leaders. I felt like a baby sitter and not a game player. I honestly usually don't mind commanding, but I have such a fowl taste for it after those two rounds. All that 64 players have added is more bullshit non teamplayers that need be constantly put in there place which is taking away from the fun of commanding. Most people know I hate to threaten and even more hate to finally have to ask for an admin, but during that game I had no remorse because I did all I could to try and convince them to complying with my orders would save them a kick/ban. I mean yeah this happened on 48 server, but like I said before I never spent a whole 2 rounds dealing with this crap. Do any of these dip shits read the damn server rules, there not fucking there for decoration! Wow I feel a little better after writting this rant over. /rant_off

yes...but you had admins there to help and as people start coming here and realizing that we mean business, it will get better again. I think we are going to have a week of hell with new people, but i will be much better after that. Plus it is thanksgiving week which means kids will be out of school and around here...

Tenrou, I think I was there for both those rounds, though I got dropped from the server during the second round after becoming a squad leader when the original one proved to be an asshat. The teams got all lopsided and I called in about that..then a few mins. later I was dropped..The first round was excellent though, a very nice win for the team, so good job on that.

Re: Argh! Worst Command EVER!
Yeah, I remember the teams did get all lopsided for a bit on Minsk. It was like, 30 people on one side and 19 on the other. I tried to change teams to help balance out but I guess auto balance wouldn't let me. All I got for it was a negative score for trying. It didn't fix itself until more people logged in.
And I hear you Tenrou. There've been a lot of clowns coming around lately and now that we're 64, there's just more of them. But you know what? We've always had clowns, there's always going to be clowns, hell, some of those past clowns wised up and are with us now. So its like Angel said, the server is gonna be hell for a while until we get teamwork beat into their skulls.

Re: Argh! Worst Command EVER!
I too have been having issues with nonteam players. sometimes I really get on the horn and ride people. I would have to say it is one of the more irritating things on this server. But only this server.
now your thinking, "TMD WTF R U talking about?" well we are the only server that expects it. when I go on another server I still try to communicate with people, I still say "how's it going kids" when I join a squad, I still ask people to follow my orders, but I understand that their are some real pieces out there and when they join on TTP with me, I try to educate them in the TTP way AKA the best way to play.
The game is retarded easy if you have a group of people working together vs those who are not.
I say ride it out. The boys will be separated from the men, as the saying goes. and some will be separated by an admin if need be.

got me to register
Well I think TMD has the objective perpective on this. TTP has a UNIQUE set of rules and admins that enforce them quite strictly when it comes to non regulars. It appears that TTPs style is that the commander is GOD and when he orders a squad to do something, then that's it. Does not matter that the squad is efficiently killing the enemey or supressing silo grabbing. Because X got the position then X's word is law. And consider that voting is borked, not much to change a bad round.
I state this because I like most of what TTP is and I like the Hobos. They are friendly, talkative and good squad mates. As for the 5th, I always get the idea that they are actually talking on TS or Vent and are rarely "part" of a squad when there is only 1 or 2 playing on that team. As for the Admins, you do have pretty good server coverage and consistency towards the hordes. The whole squad up or die is nice but the condense squads gets carried to extremes. I have been told now multiple times to join up with a squad where the SL does not talk, does not update objectives (unless prodded by the commander) and is a regular here. Sorry when all other squads are 6/6, and the choice is bad SL, I guess I will be a Lone Ranger RepairMan and go hunt tanks and Gunships. [you would be suprised how often I get recruited in the next vacancy when I routinely show up to destroy tanks and repair their poor walkers]
Opinion of a former clanner (FFC) who has played competitively but got a job that takes me awayfor months at a time. Takes it for what it's worth. Like I said this subject actually got me to register on TTP.
