    Ritz, meet laggy. Laggy, oh nevermind you already introduced yourself SAAW style. welcome to the forums. Laggy is deadly with the SAAW. period..no discussion, no argument, we just know it, live with it and (personally) I don't fly if we are on opposite teams.

    Sorry about the rude introductions. You see, what happened is this. For the 1st... oh, I don't know... 6 months that I played this game.... I'd get these shiny new vehicles. I was always fond of the hover tanks. Great paint jobs, extended warranty, even a moon roof. Yeah, I was pretty proud of them. So, I'd take them out for their first trip through the countryside.

    TEN FEET out of the staging area, another damned gunship went and scratched it all up and tore it up. Insurance claims always fell through. Some silly "Acts of war exemption" meant they didn't have to pay up.

    So, I took it personal a few months ago. All those gunship pilots flying around like they OWNED the skies and everything below them. The only thing they feared was the other gunship. So... I tried my hand at flying. Abysmal failure.

    The ground based AA turrets on the ground were worthless. Lots of pretty flashing lights and a cool bass kicker, but that's about it. Roller mines on top of the enemy shield were only effective 1/2 the time. But, you had to wait till you could get on the enemy titan to do that.

    THEN I tried the SAAW. Ohhhhh man did I like that. Here, I'll even give you a prior link

    Proud to say.... I have now destroyed over 800 gunships. It was soooooo satisfying to see some of the pilots STOP flying when I came on. But even better.... if I can deny the enemy the air, then my team has an advantage that hopefully they can capitalize on, because all I want is the W.

    WOOHOOO and I just checked. #31 in the world with the SAAW now

    Easiest way to not get killed in the gunship is to not BE in the gunship.

    Second... speed is your friend. Slow moving gunships are dead gunships. Everytime you went vertical, you lose speed. Take it for what its worth. Of course, fast moving gunships have a harder time killing my buddies on the battlefield, and I'm ok with that too.

    Nope... it's meant to be an homage to the armored duels in Tunisia 40-42. Kursk would be an infantry paradise as you would need to have some woods, three concentric rings of bunker defense with trenches and anti-armor formations. If the Russians hadn't been tipped off about the operation AND if the Germans hadn't delayed the assult in order to make sure that the PZV could make its debut, then you would have had a wide open battle without many fortifications and the Germans very well could have won the engagement.

    well your right about the extreme climbing and losing speed laggy, but if you dive just before you go up....and wait about 6 or 7 seconds after you hear the cockpit siren and hit the shield, you should be able to accelerate going straight up and make sure they don't hit you

    I've gotten away from your SAAW many times doing this, the problem is when i am low to the ground and i hear it....i have no where to dive to...hence, no speed

    also Ive found that when climbing vertically if you go upside down after about 600 in height and just fall it confuses everyone as to where you went and it seems to work to throw the SAAW off

    i posted this in laggy's SAAW stuff post but this is probably a better spot...

    given that the best spot for laggy is in the middle of nowhere, its not that hard to figure out his probable locations and just fly behind buildings to mess up his lock (one big flaw of the SAAW, extreme locking time)

    i've also found that strafing one direction, spinning, and using the shield works (think like a helicopter) pretty well against the SAAW if they were launched a ways away and they are about to hit you (the only way you know they are about to hit you is if you have used the SAAW a lot and know how long it takes for the missiles to hit)

    HOWEVER, you feel really bad when you evade three unsuccessful SAAW attempts and then get taken down by a tank machine gun because you are spinning like a moron low to the ground...lmao

    well in that map. they got lots of ways to attack u and your home base and other base and that will get on my nerves a little. but that way u got a way to attack them and take over . but a problem is..its a little to big.i get lost on that map to much
