Here is what I suggest in the journey towards becoming an outstanding Medic.

First, FOLLOW your squads into battle, never take the lead but always assist.
Second, if your squads fail and are killed, then use your abilities as a soldier to come in and clean up after the battle. Enemy Soldiers would have been damaged during the battle, and it shouldn't take much to kill the remaining enemy. Always kill the enemy before reviving your soldiers.

All of this has to take place within 15 seconds, and when successfull the squad is back to full power and moving forward; as opposed to starting back at the spawn point and loosing ground.

I think most importantly, Kill first, revive second! BF2 is a numbers/Time game.... if you get the revive and you and the soldier you revived die, the enemy wins. If you kill the enemy then get the revive, we win!

Okay, so yesterday I was playing a versus match, we were playing as the survivors. I was zoey, and I forgot who was bill, but in the saferoom he kept roaring like a tank and making the smoker cough sounds, he wasnt playing it over hlss or anything like that I could tell, is there a way I could do this too? It would be good for pranking friends with a tank roar.
