i use pills more so i got to say in my opinion i think they're better. i like to often repeat strategies from l4d 1 , so thats why my tier 1 weapon is always likely the mini - uzi n then i chose the m-16. since there was no adrenaline or defibs in l4d1 i never ever use them unless absolutely necessary

i say it depends on the situation in a situation like the mall alarm i take adrenaline but just for carrying around i take the pillsys

Adrenaline! Basically it is a real help when you need to revive teammates and heal quickly. With addrenaline you get a 25hp health increase (as oppsed to a 50hp increase with pills) as well as running at top speed, you don't get stopped by CI hits and your revive and heal time decreases from 6 seconds to 3 seconds. Shots are better in 8 out of 10 situations.

I'll go for pain pill if just in case in deep trouble in dying we can heal instantly. And a chances of surviving is also good.

Adrenaline:
temporary increase in health
running speed increased
reload speed increased
heal speed increased
assisting incapped teammates increased
ability to escape the horde

Pills:
temporary, but longer, increase in health

IMO, Adrenaline has way more effects than pills and seems to be the better choice.

Pills give you the most temporary health and last longer than the shots but I never really have to ever use them so I mostly go with the shots and hold on to them until I need it to quickly get everyone off the ground or run through an area, like The Parish finale.
