Thread: Need help with 'Lost Connection'

that didn't do much for me, and my dual FX-60. he's not crashing...he's disconnecting. big difference.

that's true, ira...don't forget that popup is going to appear, asking if it's ok for BF2 to connect to the internet.

BF2 is listed in the exception list for XP firewall, so yes I did click "allow", the only thing that confuses me is that it seems to be fixed by a restart, and the fact that I along with a number of others have the same router problem on the tracert, I even have that problem when the game is running with no "lost connection" issue.

might want to go experiment on some other servers....

I had the same issue with him no matter what server I played on. I wasn't crashing, I would just drop connection. If I did a constant ping, I would get a weird error message. Not the standard Request Timed Out error.

Opened up a couple of the ports I missed and ran the two AMD programs ....and had a complete night without a single lost connection...here's crossing my fingers that I've got it fixed. Thanks for the help to all.
