Need help with 'Lost Connection'
I'm having a terible time of it with my new setup. I am able to join games with no problem. Then all of a sudden I freeze and get kicked. The message shows "Lost Connection" no other PB type message or anything. I had the same problem in BF2142. It was suggested by Saltspring to manually update PB which I did to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Need help with 'Lost Connection'
Run a tracert to the IP of the server you are trying to connect to and post it up. Also check your ports for BF2 and see if there is an issue with that. The other thing, "Are you on a router?" If so you may want to check your set up on your router and check your firewall. That may also be causing your problem.

Re: Need help with 'Lost Connection'
This happens on my PC at the home, I need to do a full restart to get back in. And it isn't relative to the TTP server, it is any BF2 server at that time.
Not sure what is causing it though. The office pc doesn't do this so I assume it's my other pc's fault.

Re: Need help with 'Lost Connection'
I have this problem SEVERAL times everyday with the TTP server, EVERYDAY! I too require rebooting the machine, or else I'll just loose the connection in about 10 minutes or sgo again.... when I reboot, the connection will stay active for several hours until I loose the connection again....
I'm sure some ASSHOLES will respond by saying "then why dont you go play on another server"..... Since I do not have these Issues on other servers, and I have paid attention the were and when it happens...
I'm not concerned about it that much, but wanted to share my thoughts on the subject, as it applies to me.

Re: Need help with 'Lost Connection'
My problem is apparently not fixed. Had the same issue come-up last night on SF after several hours of play. The same problem on BF2vanilla. Did some online research and found a bunch of crap that made no sense to me. Some of it was about nvidia nforce chipsets causing the problem, some about dual cores and assigning affinity to one CPU, some about routers but others quickily dismissed the router problem because if it were a port issue I shouldn't even be able to load the game. I'm totally lost....Anyone?

Re: Need help with 'Lost Connection'
I haven't tried to play it in single player mode, but after I restarted my computer it let me play BF2vanilla for an hour or so with no issue.
I haven't tired anyother games yet, kind of a BF junkie. I have CS so I could try that.
