Re: Should Squad Leaders take point when moving as a squad?
Personally, I prefer to be close enough that my drone can see the objective, but far enough that I can provide a secure spawn point and cover the team- So, I'll typically be watching the UAV better than the point guys, and I can flank counter-attackers, etc. That "cover your squad" role works especially well as an assault w/rockets, and you can dart in to toss a medkit or revive and then get back into cover. Support with MG also does well in this mode.
If I'm playing support with shotty, I tend to slap my IDS on the gun drone (I know, it's pretty worthless, but it makes a nice combo in theory) and be more of a point SL. But this is really only appropriate if you have a spawn point pretty close to the action.
(So I'm really seconding Laggy & BD's comments, I suppose... )

Tenrou was trying this last night on camp Gibraltar and we had moderate success. the trick is KEEP MOVING! I did really like the style of play, I felt like I was playing Rouge Spear again, and I was the caboose.

i dont remember who was in my squad but we where playing the way big dog states, it was fun. the whole sqaud togeather.. AKA holding hands. we were jumping together from cover to cover. it was fun because we could almost do anything and we would make it.

tank.wav not playing?
Hello everyone-
Recently I noticed that the tank music is no longer playing for me. I checked game_sounds_music.txt and everything seems to check out:
"Event.Tank"
{
"channel" "CHAN_STATIC"
"volume" "1.0"
"soundlevel" "SNDLVL_NONE"
"wave" "@#music/tank/Tank.wav"
GameData
{
"MusicTrack" "tank"
"MusicPriority" "CRITICAL"
}
}
and tank.wav file is the normal Tank music. However, every time I play, whenever the Tank shows up the music is not playing whatsoever. I looked online but no one else seems to be having this problem. Help, please?
Edit: All the other music seems to be in tiptop working order. Witches, horde summonings, etc. all play the correct file.
