No lag at all just invisible heads on players but i can see hair/teeth and gums and in dark rooms i can see them sometimes but then it goes back to transparent on witches i can see hair and that is all the rest is transparent and the special infected what always gets u with the goo i can see the shirt

ive tryed changing all settings, im running it at the lowest setting because of my old 2003 computer
any tips? or is there any way to get around this without buying a new computer?

First do a Verify Integrity of your game files in Steam to make sure nothing is corrupted. If that says everything is OK, then double check any custom maps you may have installed in the addons folder, they can cause problems. if you have custom maps, move them to another folder temporarily until you figure out if they are causing the problem or not.

You can also delete the filed called VIDEO.TXT in the CFG folder and let it recreate itself, then go into the game and adjust your video settings.

If all else fails, you may have to reinstall the game.
