VoIP Dropping? +NS Teamswitching issue

Well basically, i think i've played the better part of 5 rounds without VoIP, and without realizing it....

To all those people i was squading with/commanding for(don't ask me how), i'm sorry from the bottom of my heart.

Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it?

Also, whenever a northern stirke map comes up, and the teams suddenly become unbalanced, like 16v2, i've found that it won't allow me to switch teams, rather, just kill me and count it as a suicide. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

yea i have noticed when the teams are way unbalanced it wont let you switch, u have to disconnect and reconnect. and VoIP was down for like on map tonite... but i think an admin has to look at that...

thats more than likely all 1.4 - I have noticed if you are talking and the server crashes if you dont restart the client you will often be unable to VOIP.
As for the team switching thing thats is almost definitely a 1.4 bug as it worked perfectly fine before. The only way around it is to disco and reco...

really sucks for those that are trying to balance numbers/quality/whatever...

That and sometimes 2142 wigs out on me and mutes others for no apparent reason. I have to go unmute them. Not sure why this happens but sometimes I see an X with a blue box and it will not let me unmute that person or speak to them.

Yeah it happen to me yesterday, The map restarted after just starting then i had no VOIP and the last thing said kept repeating and would not stop. I had to disconnect and connect to get things right. As for the switching teams thing I have had that problem before 1.4 in fact it started for me early on I just got use to the fact that i am not switching teams.

Oh and I now have alot of connect lost issues.

I'm pretty sure the second one is the other person having you muted. They'd have to remove that themselves.

I had a commander mute me earlier this week... I'd assume it was a bug though.

This happens to me several times a nite (loosing voip) that's annoying enough, but as they say just reconnecting fixes the problem.. now the not being able to switch teams is the most annoying, you're stuck on the on eyou join with, that's the worst problem because rejoining doesn't guarantee a fix

Auto-balance failing and not being able to manually switch is something I've run into several times even before 1.4. Disconnecting and reconnecting is simple enough though for a solution that it doesn't bother me too much other than the -2 I got from trying the first time.

The VOIP occasionally failing on individuals really kind of sucks. That's happened to me maybe twice in the last month and a half, but I know it also strikes other people as well so it is in fact quite frequent. The only way I have to fix it is to close BF2142 and restart the game. At least that's what works for me and it sucks to have to do that, but I'd rather be able to talk to my squad than be limited to the HUD and text.
