Re: "There's a tank, everyone come AT"

Over the weekend I was on a squad that the SL made this call, I think it may have been the same squad as you P.I.Y.F.? My memory isn't so good anymore... That's why I record just about all my playtime using FRAPS. But back to the thread:

The "Everyone come back AT" tactic can be useful. In this case, the flag was still ours so we could all spawn around it and the enemy tank. The way I see it, two or three of the squad members are going to die when they attempt to take out the tank. Hopefully they can get a AT round into the tank before they die. So the AT members that survive can stay AT after the tank goes down, and the ones that died trying to take out the tank can come back as whatever kits are needed then. In a perfect world, or squad, two AT's could have taken out that tank without any trouble at all. But in this case in question, that tank took out our whole squad, so we were eager to destroy it with any means necessary.

I do not think everyone should come at but you need atleast 2 AT's to take out a tank quickly.

On a side note I will dust your ass with the MP5 or PP-19.

The statistics for all the SMGs are identical except ammo capacity and reload time. I would imagine you dust their asses with the MP-7, MP-5, P-90, etc...

You may be right soy as I have nothing but feel to back up my opinion. All of the SMG's feel different to me from a cone of fire standpoint.

I was all about the P-90 (held the most SMG ammo, has the red dot sight, longest reload time) but my accuracy sucks.. so I learned that the shot gun helps me a lot! DAO for life!

Aim your AT rockets at the tank treads, not the turret or side armor. A frontal shot at the tread under the front quarter panels, two shots and your work is done. As for the one shot AT kills while in another tank, aim a little higher, the first shot reflects off the front quarter panel and also hits the turret basically registering two hits. If the tank is at all weakened, it can go down in one shot. One last thing, don't use this against me!

A squad that works together knows what Kit to use... Unless your a newb, then your clueless.

If you are with your squad during the battle, your members are seeing and hearing what you hear and see. If you are working as a squad, the first person who dies should know what Kit to use to handle the problem at hand. Not everyone needs to change to the same freaking kit just to handle a 2 second battle (or commit suicide, which is even more obserd). The squad should be fluid and adjust to the circumstances. It KEEPS adjusting, rolling like a machine.

Hell, If don't have AT and are confronted with a Tank, then we get the hell ouf of there until we can handle the Tank, if we can handle it at all. Squad (2) may have all AT...

A fluid squad knows how to pick up enemy kits to handle the situation at hand as well. Teach your squad how to think for the squad, then you don't need to micromanage every single person, which will drive one CRAZY!

But that's my two cents. I can't stand to have someone bithcing at me while I'm trying to have fun. So a fluid sqaud allows everyone to play every kit, at all times.

    My goodness.

How did I miss this site? My mind must be going.
My name is Emery, I'm 19, I favour Nick above everyone else. (:
I'm only in contact with two people who also play Left 4 Dead/2 and I'd
    like to know more. (:

    And plus, I love this.
