    Improvement to BF2: Commmander Position

    I was thinking about an improvement to the Commander position based on rank. I would like to see quicker re-load times on the Arty or multiple UAVs based on rank. Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

    If there was quicker respawn time for Arty, o god. It would turn into a cold war. I wouldn't mind a quicker respawn time for the UAV though. Not everything in BF2 can be perfect you know.

    Artillery is designed for the most part to be a tool that helps your squads get the job done, rather than an instant death machine. If it were too much more frequent or powerful, it would be a really powerful weapon, and it would basically turn in to a game of "Oh gods, we've been sitting in one place for more than a minute, run like hell!" As it stands, the commander fulfills a supporting role for the squads under his/her command, and the tools you get for that purpose are pretty good, at least in my eyes.

    I doubt any weapons in real life behaves differently depending on the rank of the operator... 8)

    Skill is another matter all together.

    Double Tap - quit spamming/hijacking threads

    As for this topic, I would hate quicker arty respawn times. As for multiple UAVS, you already have that. Drop the UAV in one area then go to another and manually spot.

    Personally I think the Commander commnads are fine the way they are. If the commander is watching the map and communicating....and more important...knows how to win the map....the tools he has now work fine.

    Absolutely agree, also for success it depends on the commander communicating and anticipating squad needs. The tools are fine with what is available today.

    Now if there were a way to taser squads that don't listen and follow orders now that would be a useful tool Biggest challenge of commanding is when all of the squads congregate in one area and don't spread out.
