Re: Forquet?! Back?!
Yeah, last night went pretty good. The problem is I first started playing on a game pad, now I've transitioned over to keyboard and mouse and sometimes I don't remeber what key does what. So instead of crouching or going prone I just stand there with a big target on my head.

No RROD for the 360 slim
After unveiling the sexy new slimline model for the 360, it has now been revealed that the 'red ring of death' has been fixed. Basically when the console is dangerously close to overheating, a red dot appears, and it automatically shuts down before any damage is done. Basically meaning that if you give it a minute and turn it back on again, it will be completely fine.

lolwat
So instead of fixing their malfunction their going to put a wet band-aid on it? I'm sure it works, that I'm not doubting (although it'd be hilarious to start hearing the warning doesn't work, though I doubt it), but seriously? This is all they could come up with after 4 and a half years almost? Eh, whatever, at least they have done something about... I'll give them that.
btw Does anyone know how much money Microsoft was spending to repair all of those 360s?Originally Posted by David Lynch

The RRoD problem has been fixed for awhile now. My Xbox is coming up on two years old and it will never have that problem unless I wrap it in a blanket and overheat it on purpose.
The last three motherboard revisions (latest begin the one in the slim) do not suffer from this problem at all.
This "kill switch" is just extra protection and is mainly for idiots that sit their console next to a space heater then blame Microsoft when the thing over heats.

Ah, I was unaware. I just never took notice because I had an Xbox from late-2006 until mid-2008 (if I remember correctly) when it RRoD'd. My second one lasted me until I gave it to my brother. It RRoD I think because of it's own fault, I can't remember ever blocking it in. Either way, I didn't send it to Microsoft (impatience), I just bought another one.
But yeah, I'd imagine there are lots of idiots who blame Microsoft for putting it up against a wall... still, there'll be idiots getting mad for the Xbox resetting, I just know it =/Originally Posted by David Lynch
