After reading Expendable Grunt's guide to Ghost train and Qwai River (big thanks), I've decided to do something similar for one of my favorites - EJOD Desert.

Capture order (64 size map):
USMC:
USMC Base > Gas Station > Ruin > West City/East City > Gardens > North Desert > MEC Base
MEC:
MEC Base > North Desert > Gardens > West City/ East City > Ruin > Gas Station > USMC Base
Mission guide:
USMC
You are in disadvantage.
Your APC got lower rate of fire (ROF) than enemy's - you've got no chance in head-on conflights, therefore, try to avoid them as much as possible.
Another disadvantage are G3's vs your M16's. G3 is pretty accurate on long distances, but is quite impractical in close quarters. And it's gonna take you down with single shot if you don't wear body armor - avoid spec-ops kit !
Anyway, here's the plan. I presume you've got 4 squads, as this is average count.
As soon as the round starts, hop into APC's + additional Humvees and move to Gas Station. Enemy is still far away, so only minimum of teammates will be necessary. While Gas Station is being capped, the rest of the team should move straight to Ruin, parking APC's in cover. If everything is going well, you shouldn't meet too many resistance yet. As soon as you get Ruin under control, make sure you assign squad to defend it till you capture city ! I know you may not like to defend, but believe me, it's necessary - it's the last strong defense between city and your main-base (mainly because you cannot shoot there with armor, unlike every other CP, including Gas Station). Support's SAW will be pretty useful in those tight corridors there.
Now it's time to split between West and East City. If you got H-AT in your team, make sure it position itself on one of the green/orange marked roofs (don't bother trying the red marked ones, as the view form there is pretty limited, however, the red-marked roof at D/E 4 is a nice place to put down rally-point.
Now about capturing East City. Do you see around those squares with 1 in the middle ? OK, these marks roofs in capture radius. Make a good use of them.
West city is going to be a bit harder. There are no suitable roofs around, therefore you gonna have to make it from ground. If you can get H-AT to the roof west from the flag, you at least won't have to worry about APC's.
Now let's presume you were successful in capturing both parts of city. It's time to get Gardens, then. West from Gardens are some building, where you can hide your rally point. If you still got a tank support, I suggest to send a tank on a little patrol around eastern mountains. You can often find some kind of enemy spawn there (RP, APC, firebase, etc.), especially north/northeast form East City CP.
If you managed to get Gardens, then congratulations, you are pretty good - USMC team doesn't get there too often. So now it's time for a final push. Get your tanks move simultaneously on both sides of a road. Don't forget to keep an eye on their main - there could be tank leaving.
Well, you shouldn't have too problems with getting North Desert. Just watch for sniper/ H-AT fire, which is most likely coming from the tall building in the middle of their main base (marked as green square on the map).
As soon as you capture North Desert move to the last stronghold - MEC Base. Now move your tanks there so they can take care about anyone who's trying to leave the main. You can also put few people on the orange marked building (preferably a SAW gunner).
Try to capture the flag ASAP - the longer it takes, the more people are going to disconnect (getting killed few seconds after spawn isn't fun).
MEC:
Now this should be easy for you. If your team isn't full of newbies you're most likely going to win.
Why ? You've got stronger guns, your BTR-90 APC got much higher ROF and most likely you've gonna make it to strategic positions in city faster then the USMC team.
Now take a look at map.
Those two green squares in city are where your H-AT's want to go. Make sure they've got rifleman/support with them. Rest of team moves to North Desert and Gardens (same drill like with USMC part - leave only minimum of team at North Desert, while rest moves further to the city).
Like I said before, your APC's got higher ROF, so make sure you use it - unlike USMC, use them offensively. The wall at D5 is good place for one. Send the other to the hills on east - to hunt down enemy RP's.
If you managed to get both West and East City CP's under control now it's time to strike Ruin.
If you read the USMC part of guide, then you already know, that there's no way to get APC there. It's gonna be pure infantry combat. And you're gonna be in disadvantage because of G3's higher recoil. Well, with a bit of skill, you're gonna be able to make it.
Time for Gas Station. Make sure you got tank at each side of a road and that they are also watching enemy main base, beside from killing infantry. Keep in mind, that metal fence to west is penetrable, so spray it a bit to make sure there are no enemies left.
To the south of the CP, there are some humps, that's where enemies are most likely gonna retreat. Flank them from side and take them out.
Now it's time for the USMC main.
There's a building behind the base to south. You can try to get there your squad and put down a rally (it's far enough, as the circle indicates). If you want to do so, make sure you inform your team about it (you would be surprised how many itchy-fingered tank gunners are around there).
Same as with previous - get it under your control ASAP or there will be much more free slots then before.
Conclusion:
Thank you for reading this guide, I hope you enjoyed it and it was at least a bit helpful.
