The great things about TTP

So we've complained about teamstacking, teamswitching and a rotten server provider we had for a bit.

But there are many amazing things about TTP that makes us stay here.

TTP is an amazing community! Unlike anything else, anywhere. The forums here are full of friendly people who do everything to help eachother out, be it with technical issues or being better at the game. In addition to all the great trashtalk and banter we have here. For so many different games, and so many different gamers. This is home for us all.

Amazingly skilled players. In every aspect of the game. TTP is the pinnacle of online gaming. And not only are the players here incredibly skilled, they are always ready to teach. I have benefited from the tutelage of some great players in my time here, and so have countless others. I will always be greatful for the time and patience these guys have displayed.

Great admins who keep the servers free from asshats, teamkillers and non-teamplayers!

Resident clans made up of skilled players and all around great people!

I have been here for a few months. Some have been here since the start, others just stumbled across this amazing place. But for all of us it is the same. We can't imagine being anywhere else.

So let us start the new year by celebrating the greatness of TTP!

It's all about the TEAMPLAY and educating others on it. As Wolverine said it's a great group of people. I was lost in a sea of PUBS until I found TTP. I will NEVER go back, EVER!

And for new guys to Texas...TeamPlayers... the reserve slots ROCK! Teamplay with out having to wait for the end of a round at TTP sitting on another Public Server.

Seriously.. I would say the way people rally around and offer their best ideas to people that they wouldn't be able to pick out of a line up.

Example, I needed help deciding what I wanted in a new gaming box. I threw the request for help out, and people swarmed in to help me. It was impressive.

Left 4 Dead Apocalypse Mod

The Left 4 Dead Apocalypse Mod is a completely server-side modification of Left 4 Dead(1). The purpose of the mod is to add new features, fix common problems, and make the game as fun as possible. The recent release of Left 4 Dead 2 has caused the player numbers of Left 4 Dead to plummet, and this mod is partially a response to that, but mainly it is giving the dedicated players of Left 4 Dead the game they want and deserve. The mod is a combination of scripts, server plugins, and cvar changes to create a new Left 4 Dead experience, while keeping the main things that make Left 4 Dead the great game it is. The mod focuses on increasing immersion, replayability, encouraging teamwork, and having fun.

Realistic Lighting - Version 5 - Main Feature
Dynamic Director - Version 1 - Main Feature
(includes dynamic paths and car alarms, dynamic infected changes)
No Survivor Glows
Increased Friendly Fire
Increased Weapon Recoil and 50% less ammo capacity
Survivor Crawling while incapacitated
Stronger witch, tank, and special infected.
Increased Hordes, more zombies
Added gore
Mouse2 melee does no damage to zombies, only pushes them back
Killing the witch without a 1-shot headshot calls a horde
Can drop any item your holding on the ground (including weapons, items, and pistols)

He's planning on adding support for the versus maps and some custom campaigns. Also hearing he might include ammo upgrades and some other fun stuff.

If I had a PC that would run L4D1 I'd be playing this right now.

50% less ammo is a great addition to.

This needs to be added for the 360! Valve needs to do more support for the original L4d and add features like this to bring more people back to it

Yeah, this doesn't concern me since I'm no a PC Left 4 Dead player, but I would LOVE the changes in the first. I hate to say it, but I don't think most of the 360 community deserve it anyway.

I agree with you though so that makes me bad too haha. 360 players are alot of pre-teen trash talkers that run around shooting eachother and always startle the witch and when the first tank comes they all die. It is hard to find people you actually want to play with
