I hated playing tonight with two teams that ran without stopping. Those gamers are pissing me off. I think its the worst strategy, its not even a strategy. You let down your teammates to make points, rushing like an idiot. Thats not what I can call a ''strategy''. I hate it because you have to run after the survivors, which makes the game really boring for others.
Anyway, that's bullsh*t ...

There are quite a variety of playing styles on L4D versus, some work better than others, some don't work at all. We tend to move through the levels quite slowly, often taking the longer route where health packs and throwables are awarded. As I am the sniper of the team (I almost always take the hunting rifle) it also means that we can't rush it. Some people rush it, and do well, some people go slow, and do it well - a good team is a good team regardless. There are also some levels that are more suited to rushing (imo) such as No Mercy 4, whereas others that are better suited to taking your time a bit more, such as No Mercy 2 - again just an opinion of course.
The implied basis behind your post, from what I can tell, seems to be that you hate people who rush well, because you can't rush well and win a game. Don't hate people for playing well together...
I'd be quite interested in playing against/with you Mincz - why don't you bring yourself and your crew along to one of our games tonight? Add my GT and we'll get something arranged. Whether or not you play with us or against us, you will learn about very good teamwork.[s]L4D - PC & Xbox 360[/s]

It is effective and forces a faster pace on Versus.
However it is sometimes not fun.
While it speeds up the game a bit, if there is no challenge then there is no game. If you were playing against a team of inexperienced players then you would barely find enjoyment in it. You'd be "owning" them without even trying.
I go at my own pace and try to set challenges for myself. That way I feel satisfaction if I do something in a game.

I agree with you about rushing. It's always been effective in l4d. It's a little too effective with the scoring in l4d2. But, that's not an issue you take with the players. You take that problem to Valve.
As far as Winning = Fun, the same could be said about cheating and glitching. It all depends on the individual. If you're playing against sheltered individuals with low integrity who win by any means necessary, then yes, Winning = Fun. To others, just playing can be fun. Some only derive satisfaction in winning by playing other good teams. Some have fun pubstomping and being delusional of their own skills. Some people have fun whether they win or lose. It all depends on the individuals in questions.
EDIT: Damn, RussianHunter beat me to it! 4 minutes to late.

Well, if you're experienced and you know your team then by all means rush as a unit, not forgetting to grab supplies if you KNOW they're there.
But, if you don't know your team, then don't try to rush.
One golden rule, DO NOT go Leeroy Jenkins and go commando, that's one flaw i've seen from, actually..some of the people on my friends list, Shotgun mostly (Sorry dude).
You only go commando if you're near the saferoom, panic event, two members of the team dead and one incapped surrounded.

I only agree with rushing under 2 circumstances:
Everyone, if not most of the team agrees to do it
You are in the lead by alot in pub games so its fuck around time. I LOVE rushing during The Terminal, The Bridge in Left 4 Dead 1 and most of the Parish in Left 4 Dead 2 on Versus, not to mention the Coaster and the Barns on Dark Carnival.
But I will not rush recklessly. I always suggest deathraces in most of my Versus games so I would have an opinion or 2 on whether or not to do it.Mincegamer: Crimson is a goldmine of funny quotes.KillerJay: I just realized what Creamy is to everyone; everyone loves him and nobody hates him.
