    fu**ing good game

I love the idea of getting the flame thrower that would be sweet. When you get a heard coming after you. Now it would run on gas and the chainsaw so i was thinking those gas cans we grab, use them to fill them back up again why not be the first to do that. The survivor idea I don't no add two and two American to see what happens for now.

I don't think the flamethrower is fair because if the tank gets caught on fire it gets completely destroyed in seconds even if nobody is attacking it... fire is too OP against tanks to put a flamethrower in

    Thumbs up LFD3-Iron Sights

    Hey,
If I love LFD/LFD2 but if I could change just 1 thing it would be iron sights. Dump the cross hairs its unrealistic. Other games do it (insurgency, KF) and its much better.

We need asian people in the third one, geesh. So far all we've seen is white and black, how original can they get? That's like an oreo cookie. Just throw an oreo cookie in there; last oreo on earth DLC.

As for weapons, what about a bazooka? They have a grenade launcher, but that's weak. We need at least one chance for mass genocide.

    Lightbulb 'The Blaze' idea

I did have this cool idea for L4D3 but may sadly be too late so I guess it can be used in L4D4 if possible, then again I don't know...

Ok so my character idea is going to be another speacial infected character. His nickname is 'The Blaze' or 'Blazer'. His passive stance is just the appearance of an old man walking around or near the Witch in a bit of a stumbling over fashion. He wears a red sleevless vest ontop a black turtle neck. He has blood drenched cargo pants, ripped of course, and long shoulder-length hair hanging in his face. He walks around/near the witch constantly complaining about how cold he is, occasionaly he will put down his 'cane' and breathe a puff of fire into his hands. On rare occasions, possibly only one or so maps, will he get down on one knee infront of the Witch and conversate with her. He only attacks when the Witch is startled, growling or after, he will first look immediatley at the survivors with glowing eyes, almost like fire, and he starts mummbling so low it cannot be debunked as any language, when the survivors get even closer he will yell:"Get away from her!". Then he would stand straight up with his 'cane', looking much more like a sword now, and harpoon charges the survivors.(Harpoon tackle from darksiders as a reference) The Blaze has the same amount of health as the Witch, but as powerful as he sounds, should maybe only encountered on expert and realism. He is also immune to any pyro-attack(ex. propane tank explosion) If the Witch should die before The Blaze kills the survivors, he will beserk and burst into flames, charging at them. Well hope this gets in next L4D game, I would definitly play on whatever diffiicult is needed to encounter him just to attempt at killing him, even if it means dying hehe.

    Wink

I want to suggest ideas to improve future gameplay for L4D3.

Valve should split up the team members. They shouldn't always be traveling in groups of 4. Certain maps can require them to divide up tasks in order to move on to the next level. That way, when your teammate is surrounded, there is a sense of urgency to go rescue him. Compared to the closet respawn method where the only perilous time is when your team is dwindling in numbers, presenting opportunities to split them up will offer a greater challenge and thus more fun. Let's say 1 is kidnapped by a boss and you have to go rescue him or half of you need to complete separate tasks. The sense of isolation that these situations generate will make maps more thrilling when you finally get to join up with each other.

Additionally, maps can offer more routes to the safehouse in order to generate a variety of situations to occur depending on the path chosen as well as vastly improving replay value. You could take a sailboat to cross the lake or run around to it. Depending on whether you successfully completed a prior objective (plant traps, save civilians, defeat a boss) there could be various changes in the way maps play out.

The zombies should incite a greater sense of danger. When you are at full health with a well-armed and experienced team there is little that could shake you. They can engage in random scripted events that the team could interact with in-game. The team can choose whether or not to engage in those in-game events (military requesting backup, zombie feeding on wildlife, helpless civilians). This new feature would once again add more replay value to each map created. The zombies themselves can respond to sound more instinctively. If there is slamming of doors, shattered window, or gunshot they should run toward the source immediately. They can also make sounds through spaces such as moaning echoes in the sewer, barfing in the hallway, or scratching at a door. Small things like these add a lot to a scary atmosphere.

That's all I have at the moment.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the new L4D needs more than new weapons/characters to make it a great game. It's like painting your walls a different color and calling it a new house.

How about importing the campaigns and people you've completed as, so if you've completed Blood Harvest as Bill, you would be able to play any of the campaigns in L4D3 as Bill, and you'd be able to play Blood Harvest on L4D3. Also I agree with some of the new weapons, but it would be overkill to have all of them. Maybe choosing the 4 characters out of a larger collection of characters, such as choosing 4 out of all of the characters from L4D, L4D2 and L4D3. I like the idea of the Blaze zombie(?), but I don't have any of my own ideas for zombies.
