tips on friend or foe
I'm still a total noob..
i noticed that I have some trouble trying to figure out who is on my side. to me the uniforms look kind of alike. more than once I have found myself shooting at someone on my own team. then I found that I was hesitating, not wanting to shoot for fear of TKing someone. Now I know that blue text means that your on my side.. red means you the enemy, what if its green? does green = bad guy? if not what does the green text mean?
and .. what do you look for if there is no text/little triangle thingy to identify bad guys? I know that if some of your teams hardware is damaged this will happen but it seems to be happening even when there appears to be nothing wrong with the radar or whatever its called.. so when the id is missing what do you look for before you shoot?
thanks

You got blue and red, right, blue is friendly, red is hostile. Green means that person is in your squad, and you should NEVER shoot this person.
Enemy text above their heads will ALWAYS appear, regardless of commander assets. The Diamond on your NetBat only appears when a squad member has engaged with that enemy. The most common thing to look for is the opposing team's weaponry, otherwise, know that the EU has orange shoulderpads, and the PAC is all grey and black. Also, blue text above friendlies helps you determine enemies from friendlies. You'll pick up the patterns as you play more, and as everyone will tell you, get the Voss tree of unlocks FIRST THING. The Defribulator scores you a lot of points, and your teammates will love you. The advanced med hub helps heal more people at once, and your teammates will love you. The Voss is easily the most effective assault rifle, and your teammates (may*) love your for it.
*Unless you keep on teamkilling.
Also, squad up with members of BFH, BD, VTRX, ][5th], and others that you see on the right side of your screen that are resident clans. They're always ready to help you out.
Edit: Triangle, Diamond, it's all the same to me, I just don't pay attention that hard."In matters of style, swim with the currents... in matters of principle, stand like a rock."

You also get the red diamonds over enemies if your squad leader has one of those sensor drones, but don't rely on that, since people don't use them too often. A far better way to tell who's who, and one that happens much more frequently, is looking at the minimap whenever there's a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) overhead or someone's put down a sonar, which is signified by expanding concentric circles in a given area. Within these circles, enemies will show up as red dots, with an indicator showing which way they're facing. You can also change the map scale with the "n" key.
This is very useful for sneaking up behind people and giving them the shank. Also, even without a scan, if you see someone in the distance and they don't show up as friendly on the radar, give them a long-range surprise present to the face.

Well i had a good post about this but I hit the wrong key and now it is gone and it wont be the same :5 But the bottom line of this issue is not something we can tell you right away and you will be, TEH SuPeR ub3R PWNZ0R$, it requires skills to be able to figure out the constant questions going through a game, play some games, get some practice, and work hard. All we can do is tell you what we do but we cannot give you that skill. Work hard, be a teamplayer and have fun. :9

Everything they said. Just to add one more thing that might help. Look at your arms at the beginning of the round. One camo set is almost black, and the other is seems dark and white splochy. If you look at your arms, you can tell which camo you are wearing therefore the other whether it is the lighter or darker is enemy. You'll get used to the difference.
Sometimes the red triangle doesn't pop up right away, so it is good to know your camo. Today, I began playing a round and an enemy ran around the silo right in front of me and ran past me. Because he didn't make an aggressive move toward me and the red triangle didn't pop up right away so, I didn't fire, then I looked at my camo, and I popped him in the back while he was walking away not ten or fifteen meters in front of me. I guess it didn't pop up for him either. The difference was that I knew my camo.

A good rule of thumb is this: If they're not within 20 meters of you, 90% of the time, they're hostile. Usually you're with your squad, or separated, and are moving with a friendly squad, you're usually facing where the enemy is coming from, and that is sometimes quite a ways away.
