But if needed, I am willing to change rolls based on what the squads needs are at a particular time, it the SL calls out the kits that they need or want in the squad.

I have started to let my SL know when I am changing roles, but it is probably to help out or give support some capacity (such as when a walker shows up).

Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."
Langrad: "We're here to win, not to..."

The best was when I was in a squad that single-handedly took down all of the consoles and the enemy put up little resistance. We had:

    1. No RDX

    2. No Engineers

    3. No support.

We were down to knifing the damn core when the enemy finally came to stop us in force. But damn did we look good. :2
I can top that...same situation but all of our knives were broken so we resorted to peeing on the core...we lost a lot of men that day. Mostly from electrical shock.... :3

I have to say that I am relieved that you didn't take the opportunity for another photo shoot... lol.

It's more fun to be the only person in your titan on their titan attacking. Blow the first two consoles as eng with pilum and then strip the dead enemies of their kits to finish off the other two consoles

    Re: Switching Kits Mid Round

To answer the origional question, I tend to go with the Assault class, especially since it's currently the only thing I've upgraded. But in any circumstance, whether it's in 2142 or BF2, I'll take the kit called for by the SL. If the SL says "I need an enginner" and I'm dead (which is usually the case) I'll switch up, and let him know I'm doing it.

The only kit I'm never a fan of in any game is sniper.. the rest I'm cool with.
