As far as Flying on the map goes, it is simular to PB taking SS's of players when they first take off. You have to take it slow and easy starting off. You will feel the SS's take place initially and after that, it is easy sailing.

Also, You have to let those choppers warm up and run for a second or two after you think they are warmed up... Take it slow and easy and after the SS's, You are good to go.

You experience it more when you are in Aircraft. It did the same thing in V. 05 with the A10.

You could lift off the Runway and then you need to make a dive but don't go to low because on the first dive, it is as if SS's take place and after that, You can be the aggressive Dare Devil and will not experience the SS's again.

So it is PB? Are you sure?

when this happens for me I have a ping that is normally my average 50-70

1. graphics....lower the textures and lighting (wont change much)
2. lower sound quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(the new patch has many far sounds(.7))

those 2 combinded will get you in game and playing right........

I run my video on HIGH and my audio on Hardware and HIGH.

Same here, I took off and completely lost control lol.
Then I got kicked off the server for losing my connection, although my ping was only like 50-60 and I could get on any internet program in the background.

The audio issue is either going to be on-board audio which never worked right for me with PR, or maybe quite possibly a driver conflict.

The only other issue i ever experienced was since i run XP and have a Dual-Core CPU {which BF2 was not designed for Dual-Core technology}, i get unbearable/unplayable gameplay with both cpu cores running the bf2.exe. Once i did some reading, i went into the processes section while the game is up and running, turned one of the CPU cores off and now i've never had a problem since.

If you need help doing this to test your situation i'll offer more in-depth help on the issue on X-Fire or PM.

If you go to the PR forums and search for "Merlin lag", or something along those lines, you'll get a bunch of hits. Many people, Dev's included, have stated that it is a known issue that they have been attempting to address.
