clickslash, city maps are *supposed* to be brutal
That's what happens when you cram a whole bunch of bellicose soldiers into an area not large enough to contain them. Stick with the regs, they'll get you up to speed!

Re: I think I should rename myself to " target drone"
I just took the depressed part off. I'm not really depressed. its a game. its a great game actually.. I haven't had this much fun in a team based game sense tribes 1.
so.. the depressed part was a figure of speech (text).
can someone explain the light weapons for me just the assault and engineer. neather one really seems to be worth a crap.. I got in behind some people last night, less then 10 meters, and let him have it. I must have got at least half my clip in to that guy, he jumps up and bang I'm dead. 3 to 5 rounds at most.. I know what your thinking.. aim for the chest/head.. and I did.. and my pings are like 50 to 70.. this happened a few times. don't know if it was the same guy, I doubt it tho. just seems the gun I have has just enough fire power for shooting chocolate bunny's at point blank range.
assault rifle does how much damage?
and the engineers rifle, how much?
and man you have to be right on the guy to hit him.. are there accuracy unlocks that I don't have?
also for a guy in my position.. I don't have a lot of heavy guns, and the ones I do, I have to be really close to use.. what do I use against gunships and the transport ships? I jumped in a jeep hit f2 and was shooting at gunships but it has no effect. I know the tanks and walkers guns can take them out but they are not always handy.. what else can I use?

There are only two semi-accuracy locks: the scope stabilizer and the zoom function for the sniper rifles.
ENGINEER-SMG: good at mid to close range; only spray at close range otherwise aim for the chest and the head
Assault type Rifles with the SMG as the control (The 2 basic ARs for the Assault class may actually be switched, I never use them): SMG<Lambert (AR for Recon, 3rd unlock on the right side)<Voss (AR for Assualt, 3rd unlock on the right side)<Krylov(AR for Assualt, basic AR)<Scar(AR for Assualt, basic AR)<Baur(AR for Assualt, 3rd unlock on the left side)
Again aim for the upper chest and head region.
The key is practice.
----------------------------
For the lovely targets that are flying vehicles, use the SAAW which is the 3rd unlock on the right side for the engineer (2 rounds for the gunship; 3 for the transport)
Squad up with Laggy or Allane for hands on tutoring.
Also, you can use the basic engineer rockets, PK rockets (rockets for the ARs), RDX (the recon demo packs), grenades, roller mines, the turrets on top of the titan and below the titan (doesn't take much skill just an absent minded pilot), the ground based AA guns (those have 2 barrels), Walker AA guns (secondary seat, F2), tank turrets, EMP missiles (APC/AA Turrets but this is rare), EMP grenades (support unlock; rare), and APC Grenades (again rare but it does happen).
I feel like I missed something in that list.
Ah yes, you can also use the gunships missiles, the gunship gunner's gun and TV missile (right click to access), and the guns on the air transport. Furthermore, you can dust off another aerial vehicle with the transport; that is touch down on the enemy vehicle like you're going to land but don't stop or set down all the way. Done the correct way, you survive with plenty of hit points to keep flying and they die.
------------------------------------------
You are getting better (I was able to play some with you last night). Just remember to keep from getting tunnel vision especially with that engineer rocket (which is arguably better than the pilum in the right hands). It's something that affects even the regulars (Onsy knifed me twice last night).enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

First of all, even if you're pointing right at the guy, never ever empty a clip at him in one continuous spray. Unless you're using the support's HMG or LMG, your accuracy only gets worse. Only at extremely close to point blank range should you consider giving anyone a lead shower. Otherwise, always, always, fire in bursts.
The engineer's SMG is weaker than any of the assault rilfes. Anything past a mid range will give you a problem with this weapon unless your aim is extremely good because the damage on this weapon drops off. With that in mind, consider your targets and strategies when you're engineer facing infantry on foot.
For the assault rifles: A few people like the base rifles, which are fairly strong, but empty their clips right away. Everyone else is divided in two camps, Voss or Baur. Baur is the stronger of the two, but has a lot of recoil and fewer rounds than the Voss. The Baur is extremely good and recoil accuracy issues is overcome if you're bursting or using the weapon in single shot. The Voss, while a little weaker than the Baur, carries more rounds and is more accurate from the get go.
My personal preference is the Voss. My reasoning is that when used properly, the Voss will get you through more dead people than the Baur will before running our of ammo. Good aim and accuracy simply carry the Voss' ammo further.
