I like the L4D characters more than the L4D2 characters. The Tank in L4D looks more scary and eerie than L4D2. I also like L4D2 because of the new special infected and maps. In the end, L4D2 wins because for some reason my connection sucks when trying to play L4D online.

I've got two words for you. One is health and the other is bonus.
Oh oh two more. Survival multiplier.
We also can't forget two of my personal favorites: quad cap
L4d2 took everything that made l4d challenging, and made it super easy. You don't even need to attack as a team while playing infected anymore because you have 19 second spawns on a 4 player team. You can't even play starter weapon matches because there are no ammo piles, but there are a billion tier 2 spawns. When you're getting t2 weapons on the first map, you know it's a game designed for bad guys. If l4d2 didn't include normal versus, but only had realism, the flaws would be acceptable because the bad kids would actually have to get good. You can't really say one is "better" than the other, because they're both relatively useless, they're for entertainment so all we can do is form an opinion. However, part 2 takes much less skill and coordination to do well.

Yeh first one is my fav.
Just because I know the maps by heart as I played them constantly. Also the characters were awesome and I got to play more as the hunter. <3
I've had many fun and epic times on the first one, on the second one; not so much"You know what I don't hate?...

I agree with L4D2 all being about realism VS. But not about L4D2 taking much less skill. It may take more coordination as infected but barely anything as survivors. The fact that the survivors can always just snuggle up and melee spam a horde to death is just plain wrong, and anyone who even considers using melee spamming stacked up in corner and still thinks of themselves as a good player has mental problems.
Health Bonus makes no sense at all. The scoring in L4D1 might be fun but it isnt fair and makes no sense.
L4D1 is very simple and flawed. Ya sure some people might want to play with starter weapons but starter weapons are boring, and MOST of the L4D players don't give a shit about that. And when 4 good players play against 4 other good players the game becomes almost impossible and comes down to luck.
Quad caps has never ever worked on me, 3-1 ones just barely. Its not because im trying to blow smoke up my ass. Im just really good at dodging and counter covering my teammates. If ever i've been apart of a 3-1 its when im attacked first after zigging instead of zagging. SO to me, getting cuaght is a 3-1 is pure luck.
If i were to to pick the most skilled VS version of this game it would be realism VS L4D2. Because it takes skill and coordinantion as both survivors an infected.
My biggest beef with L4D2 is No melee weapon fatigue and SI respawn timers being too short. But my list of beefs with L4D1 is much longer.
