Here you go Laggy, got this transport while keeping a transport afloat. I almost got a gunship too but my pilot started to spaz out.

I took down a gunship like that once. Over silo 4 on Suez. Had my vehicle sonar on the transport so I could see where he was. My pilot was in my squad, so I verbally called for him "turn right 90 degrees". Gunship was streaking in fast so I just did 2 quick snapshots (no tone, just shoot) WHAM ! ! ! ! He nearly took us out anyway, but luckily the trajectory of his carcass went just below us, but it was definitely worth a warm tingly :10

But it is VERY disconcerting (from my what I imagine on my end of the SAAW) to be going after an aircraft and all of a sudden its shooting BACK at you with even bigger weapons. If nothing else, it does cause them to break off which helps you out so you can get back to your repairs, your pilot can exit the area, or your squad can continue on with the mission at hand.

The other nice thing to do while you are sitting in seat 5 or 6 of the transport is to toss roller mines out. Even more so if your pilot is a support type. He will get double the points. One for resupplying you, and another for driver assist point since he his helping the support guy (himself) do his job. Just remember as you are dumping roller mines around the field by air mail that you can only have 5 out at a time. So watch for random flashes on your targeting reticle. One just activated and you can dump another. First out is first replaced.

Hopefully, we can break the people of the habit of flying anywhere. Or at least gunships :6

Y'all should stop with the saaws....
they are so annoying, Both DJ Mr. White and Laggy killed me last night... I think you should give it up and be nice to gunships for a change.

We need World peace, and trying to shoot down my gunships is not the way to do it... the lock-on sound is annoying, and it hurts me.

You know sometimes I don't shoot, I just keep the lock on when I know I've got an enemy pilot who will spaz.
