Those can get fun at times... especially if the air guys are off elsewhere.
I'm with ya on the gas station thing... if I'm SL that's my squad's sole objective.. take and defend gas station. ...In fact I think I even remember my squad and your squad on opposite teams in contention over gas once.. I probably remember cuz it was still one of my best times as SL. I had a great squad that day.

I have rethought my hatred for Tampa.
I think my biggest beef with Tampa was the constant running from map to map cap/re-cap.
But I've modified my play of this map lately, and rather be a flag hopper, I set in on the gas station to defend the flag. I can't believe how much a difference this makes.
Its actually an enjoyable map when played in this fashion.
Thanks to my squad leader (who i cant remember) for suggesting this strategy.

My worst map is Wake, because the US loses if they never take Airfield. Every time. Without fail. If they do take Airfield, the Chinese lose, 99.995% of the time. And to boot, there's no capability for tactical movement because of the way the island is designed; you get to pick north or south, and everyone knows where you are and how to get to you the instant you touch a flag. Either that, or you try to bum-rush the middle in an FAV or the like. Blech.
Second worst is Karkand, for many of the same reasons; the US gets funneled down 3 distinct pathways, and any MEC team that isn't half-asleep wins by default. Either you take the over-hill route and get nade-spammed to death at the road junction (or Vodnik-spammed, as the case may be), or run right down the middle road towards Hotel into the nade-spam, or try the ever-so-daring drive down the train tracks to the backfield in an APC, which will net the engineers that have every single ramp mined to perdition and back a tasty set of explosives kills.
Now Mashtuur and Songhua, those are maps done right...

For some reason, I can't ever load Wake Island, so I always get kicked off TTP and gotta sit on my hands for 30 or so minutes while the map is played through. SO I HATE WAKE. lol.
I think everyone can agree (maybe not the fly boys) that clean sweep sucks when the US forces have no Island bases. Happened yesterday. 200 to 0!!!!

I really don't have a map i don't like. You just have to figure out what kits will work for you on which maps. When you know what kits will work it makes it even more enjoyable. But if i had to pick a worse it would be karkand only because that's the map I play the most on so it bores me. That's why I like the rotating maps that TTP has setup.
