go take a look at bf2s.com, in the awards wiki section. vet and exp knife badges no longer have the IAR requirements. such fucking BULLSHIT. anyone that worked to get them before the change got fucked. a lot of the award requirements were lessened. the War College ribbon is now actually obtainable, as are the expansion faction medals... but the rest of the changes make the awards too easy to get. shank is fucking pathetic. only need 100 total now for the expert, used to need that, PLUS 18 shanks in a round. veteran was 50 total, 11 IAR, now just 50 total. also, the time and kill requirements for the helo medal got HALVED. i feel sorry for anyone that earned it before the change, they must be pissed.

Who gives a shit about the awards? Bunch of fucking losers just doing certain things just for the ribbons. I don't think the requirements should have been made public. You should get these because you earned them from regular combat, not because you were trying to get a certain one like so many of you do. Pathetic...

Hurrhurrhurr, great, the driver installs keep crashing near the end... Anything I can do to uninstall the old drivers first?

Erm, one of the other guys here often links to something called driversweeper. try searching that.

Couple things we can try.

First I'm going to say stay with the 178.24s they are the most rock solid driver with left 4 dead.

Also your graphics driver is corrupt, uninstall it in control panel > add/remove programs then reinstall it and post up another dxdiag report

In the steam Games Menu r.click left 4 dead > Properties > General (tab) > click on set Launch Options.

In there put
-novid -sw -w 800 -h 600 -refresh ##

Where ## is what ever your graphics card is set at

Okay, I already reinstalled all the drivers since then, because well... My drivers already died. I'm now on the 178.24 driver.

I cannot use the console yet, because I cannot get in-game. I will try the launch thingie, though I haven't noticed much change from that before. Thanks in advance

EDIT: the launching settings work! I now have an open loading window!
EDIT2: After putting that in the editor console and using the options to run the game full-screen, it WORKS~!!
