    commanding....

    well, i commanded two rounds on Camp gibralter tonight. i figured out that preety much the only thing you do is orbital and UAV. i tried telling people what to do, and they would say "negitive". overall it was preety boring. but you do get quite alot of points. one guy said "commander, you need a chill pill" when i told them not to go past ruins.
    Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."

    Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"

    I don't know, man. You were doing a pretty good job. That map can sometimes be a pain to command, because it because a slugfest.

    Ruins is a good place to hold especially with that bottleneck. Mmmm... It's the perfect way to turn a ticket deficit around.

    I actually find sat scan more useful than UAV. UAV has a long cooldown and only scans a small area (and it really is a small area on some of the larger maps, like Sidi), while sat scan has a very short cooldown and shows you every hostile unit on the map. It's a great way to track enemy movements so you can have a squad there to greet them.

    Orbital is always useful. EMP is really damn good if you can aim it right, but in my experience the damned armor will have moved by time it lands, pretty much avoiding it.

    Supply drops are great for people that have just taken a flag or are about to take heavy fire.

    Firework, next time, definitely call for an admin.

    If they are just saying no with no further explanation. They aren't teamplayers. I will kick them gladly if you can't get them to follow your orders. If kicks don't work, then bans may work. But kicked enough times, people who want to play here learn to start saying affirmative when given an order.

    yeah, i said to defend at ruins this round, but most people tried to move past them. we almost lost ruins, i had to gun down somebody that came in. :3

    Any of the admins would be more than happy to kick/ban people who aren't following orders, and are hindering the efforts of the team by doing so. Whoever said to "take a chill pill" would have either had to smarten up, or gotten the ban stick to the back of the head in my book, as well as any squad leaders who were taking their squads past ruins. Don't be afraid to tell people that they can and will be removed from the server if they don't follow the chain of command.

    I personally feel ruins is one of the worst places to hole up in. Central camp has a dominate position over ruins because its easier to nade spam from the elevated positions. I rarely see the team holding ruins get the better of the team holding central camp.
