If they are like the old supply crate hack, no, they don't work- they get in your way, keep you from moving around freely, occasionally squish you, and most importantly jam up your commander to prevent him/her commander from taking legitimate actions. Real PITA.

That reminds me, the other night I was on and someone was running the hack which lets their team have a commander but doesn't let anyone on your team assume command. Unfortunately it's been long enough since I admin'ed that my brain must have been rusty, because I didn't think to take note of date, time, which server, etc. I apologize- next time I'll try & be on the ball.

Everyone, make sure to get screenshots of this happening, and most importantly, get screens of the entire player list as soon as it happens. Chances are, if it happens multiple times, it's the same person doing it, and so they'll show up on the player list each time.

If they're using the commander hack, they likely have the hack where they can change their in-game name and hash as well. They can even impersonate other people providing they aren't currently logged in.

That's right- the screen shots will only catch them if they're being lazy. IIRC you have to go back to the IP logs, and hope they're not also spoofing that...
