Re: sniper vs. a commander
I have to agree a sniper is a very usefull tool when someone can use the weapon. Im guessing everykit is on the game becuase they are all usefull if someone takes the time to learn to use them. It more preferrence but i gotta say the one that will get you the most points is medic. I always laugh my ass off when i defiblilate someone to death those are the best kills.

So, while the flag is going down, lay claymores outside of the flag room, on the stairs coming up, the other right in front of the door. These 2 claymores will most surely go off. When they do, you proceed to chuck nades at the door, and you will kill the remaining medics that are trying to revive their fallen colleagues. Bam, you cap the flag.
2. Wake Island. Your squad leader grabs the jet. Bails out at the airfield, you spawn on him sniper. Lay claymores on both ends of the house (the building right on the flag). You will definitely kill 2 guys who are rushing to the back of that house to kill you and your squad, and you will reduce the number of enemy on the flag, hence allowing it to go up faster. Bam, you cap the flag.
3. Zatar Wetlands: Grab a jet, bail out over central islands (most important stronghold in my opinion), lay claymores around the flag. If an enemy does the same thing as you, lure him in close to a claymore. It'll go off, no one will have a chance to spawn on him. Bam, you cap the flag.
These are just some examples I can give you. It's something I try to do every single time I'm in that position, and it usually works.

Re: sniper vs. a commander
I've sent solo snipers off on some missions, like harassing the enemy commander. Though I generally think sniper kits are useless on a playing field like this. Xav has a point where I have seen snipers take flags using those methods. But most experienced squads will see the claymores and send a sacrifice "like me" with a medic right behind.
On a side note:::::::::More squad leaders should take note of the tactic of using the US jets on wake to take flags.
RV you are just a total pain in my ass as a sniper so please stay medic. Your easier to kill.
