    i think that if the water is deep enough where you start to swim, and the becon still works, then it's a bug. and there are a few places on tampa highway where this happens. as well as the above mentioned point, there is also west of the PAC base, and in the pool north of where the airships spawn in the PAC base.

    I've been throwing beacon's in water since the game came out. Not sure how deep the water is I usually stand on the side and jump and throw them in. There is a way to kill that beacon. Just spawn in with some rdx next time and lay them around where people are podding in. Problem solved. If it is considered unfair then I will stop doing it.

    if there is a way to stop it, i'd say its fair game.
    I'd say a grenade or two would work just as well.

    So bullets won't hit it under water eh?

    You get the idea, shouldn't be hard to verify whether the beacons function in deep water or not.

    And I've had the non-destroyable beacons before, but that seems to be an accident, never been able to do that intentionally.
    Stop me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you chuck a grenade or some RDX into the water? You don't need to aim with explosives.

    And you should try mines in the river in Verdun. Just off to either side of the crossing point. Also, in the water betwen Silo 1 and the titan where their vehicles come down the road out of their base. Another is mines in the river on the back road around on Shuhia.
    It's tough to say how deep it was... I jumped in and only saw it for a second but it wasn't right near the shore - I was swimming. The river there is pretty deep and it looked to be about as deep as the river gets (on the south side of the bridge).

    That's a little taller than a walker (I tried crossing once). Throwing in a grenade or using RDX should work, but at that depth, the beacon should not be working.
