Wanted: Airtime
Gang I dont even have enough hours to fill a beer mug. 44 helo and jet combined. If at all possible if you see me running to get in with you in the chopper or bomber please wait for me... I cant ever get home in time here on the west coast to get any early play. I finally got in the bomber last night with Xav, got a few kills, just in time to get the server reset.. Thanks to Xav and the guys I was squadding with lastnight to get me a few in the air.
I know there are a lot of good fliers on the server, I'm just begging for an ocasional blast across the sky..

I was fortunate enough last night to be in a bomber on OCS, when I got my silver. I need some more Ranked airtime. I will wait for you folks. If you'll wait for me!
Ps. I graced the Wake airshow server, for some fulltime jet practice. It helped. Does anyone know if we could get that map on our Practice/Match server? Its just a custom map.
I don't know if there are server requirements needed for this map that are more than normal. Also If we wanted to get another BFU battlefield University goin for Flight School THIS MAP would be it.

Re: Wanted: Airtime
I'd be up for it as much as possible. My time in air has been sparse at best. I don't do bad at all either. It's just not my type of play to sit in DZ and wait for the chopper to respawn only to have the guy that last piloted it to stand there where it will spawn as well.
Then, just HOPE you will be the one to get it. Standing on the runway not helping the team really suxors.
Kinda makes me mad to see 5 guys waiting on the 1 plane to spawn while the rest of the team are out there trying to win.
If possible I'd love some more air time though. Watch for meHeheh... They Didn't Even See Me... Woof!

The Case For Surrealism In Games
An editorial at PikiGeek takes the position that gaming's trend toward realism can be detrimental in many situations, with the quest for graphical precision supplanting creativity and uniqueness. Quoting:"The problem I find most troubling with realism in games is that video games are inherently unrealistic. By definition, even, video games must adhere to some sense of absurdity. In Uncharted, no matter how realistic and convincing the characters and environments may be, the fact is that Nathan Drake can take a hell of a lot of damage, and is a little too good with every gun known to man. In Call of Duty, if realism is such a coveted aspect of the series, why does your character only bleed out of his eyes, and why is damage rarely permanent? The 'game' part of these games keeps them from being truly realistic, and in turn makes them even less believable. Characters like Link, or even Master Chief, are believable in even the most absurd situations, as the worlds that they belong to don't try to conform to the world that we live in."
