That used to happen to me all the time...I would have the jump on a guy, get our my knife...walk right up and...'clink'...damn, he knows I'm here and he has a VOSS!

This still happens to me when trying to knife people out of AA, Rorsch, FAV or transport gunner 50% of the time (I don't know if I have ever been successful knifing someone hanging off the side of a transport).

Baron, the sound may be the same for turrets and parrying, but that is you actually hitting the turret, not the charlie.

does hitting them where they have armor have any effect on the knife kill?

I know in the rare moments i have my knife out its usually a hamstring cut...
