Kicked twice tonight
Was kicked the first time by the server around 7:00pm CST for being idle, but I was on the Tow site defending the Mosque on Jalalabad map.
The second time was about 7:50pm CST by an admin who apparently doesn't pay much attention to the BF2cc. I was kicked for not being in a squad, but it's kinda hard to be in a squad IF YOU'RE THE COMMANDER !
Might have been a slip of the finger, or just lack of proper training of the admin staff, but either way, the second kick was annoying to say the least.
Thanks for listening.

If this is an admin abuse claim it should be posted here: http://www.texasteamplayers.com/index.php?board=8.0

Re: Kicked twice tonight
Since this is the public forums I feel I should offer a little advice. If you were kicked, the admin who did so had a good reason or believes they did. It would do you well not to accuse the admin population here of being poorly trained or make other negative comments; they have many servers to mind and a huge community to attend to, accidents might happen but it is not due to poor training or admin selection. They are not little kids or a bunch of frat boys booting people for no good reason.
If you feel you have an admin abuse claim, there is a forum for that.

For the idle kick, were you still for minutes...as in no movement? If so, the server may automatically kick you.
As for the commander kick, I would imagine that it was a lip of the finger.

I think what we need is some training from someone with 5 hours in the game. Seeing as how none of the admins probably have that much time invested. Do you know where we might find someone?
If you want to claim abuse get your facts together, and post it where it belongs.

Steam Translation Community Slaving Away
An anonymous reader writes "Steam has decided to build a community effort to get its Steam platform and game files translated by the community, but here is the catch: Translators do not get paid. Millions could be saved by Steam by making the community work for free. The article describes basic estimates on how much is saved by Steam in translation costs."
