PR loading from PR, not vanilla
Hey guys, when I play PR, I usually join the TTP PR server from the vanilla bf2 list. I want to be able to load up PR from the getko.
When I installed PR originally, it did not place a shortcut on my desktop, but it did put the manual and a link to the website on there. Anyhow, someone walked me through to get the shortcut on my desktop. This is what he said to do:

1. Go to C:/Program Files/EA GAMES/Battlefield 2/mods/pr/.
2. Right click pr.exe.
3. Select Create Shortcut.
4. Move (just drag it) the newly created shortcut to the desktop.
5. Right click the shortcut now on the desktop.
6. Select Properties.
7. Change the Target box to read:
Code:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1
8. Click OK.
If you copy-paste the executable, you'll just create a new full copy on the desktop, which won't work and won't know where to find anything, instead of creating a shortcut, which is just a reference to the file.
Draco
Now, after doing all of that, when I double click the shortcut, my computer gets an error message that reads:
"bf2.exe does not exist. Please check your working directory!: The system cannot find the file specified."
Does anybody know what I should do next?

Thats the nice way of telling you, you're screwed.
Same crap happened to me, I tried redownloading the patch, changing file directories, everything. It all came down to reinstalling PR, before that though.
Delete any desktop icons, and any files PR has. Then it's safe to delete the whole PR through the Add or Remove Programs.

Little late, I guess
Hey guys, I joined the forums about a week and a half ago.
Still getting used to it, skimmed right over this. Oops
This is the first forum I've been a part of, wasn't sure how things worked when I started. I'm getting there.
Anyway. I started l4d the Christmas after it came out. And l4d2 the next year.
I consider myself pretty good. I know a lot about the game.
I play versus with friends, campaign speed running and expert, and survival.
Not a big fan of realism.
I only play on Xbox as it says.
I have a mic, but usually don't use it that often, even with friends.
I am a pretty good team player, and killing SI comes naturally
But, that's enough about me, see you guys out there.
